South Lincs Freeze out Competition at Snow Storm!
SOUTH LINCS SPLASHES TO SUCCESS AT SNOWSTORM MEET!
In a flurry of fast swims and only a light dusting of actual snow, South Lincs Swimming Club lit up the annual Snowstorm Meet in Grantham, delivering a weekend of medals, milestones, and mighty performances.
Grantham was positively swirling with excitement last weekend as South Lincs Swimming Club dove into the annual Snowstorm Meet, leaving a trail of medals, personal bests, and county-qualifying times in their wake. What began as a frosty November fixture quickly turned into a blizzard of brilliant performances.
MEDAL MAYHEM
South Lincs swimmers didn’t just show up—they stormed the podium.
Across all events, the club scooped an impressive 74 medals, including 18 Gold, 19 Silver and 37 Bronze. Everything from lightning-fast 50s to gruelling 400m IM battles.
PBs & COUNTY QUALIFICATIONS
If medals were the glitter, then the real glow came from the huge wave of swimmers smashing county qualifying times. A dazzling 32 swimmers hit new county-qualifying times, earning their tickets to the upcoming championships. These breakthrough swims highlighted the club’s depth, determination, and growing confidence as the season heads toward its winter peak.

Patrick Adejuwon punched his ticket in multiple events, his 50m Free swim alone delivered a cracking improvement.

Sisters Iris and Esme Lucas continued their dominating form, both clocking multiple county times across fly and IM. Esme stormed to Gold in the 100m Fly in a stunning time of 1.32.20 in the final. She also flew through her 100m backstroke event to finish with a silver medal in a time of 1.22.81, a 7 second personal best! Iris collected Gold in the 400IM, with an impressive county qualifying time of 5.53.59.

Annabelle Shaw secured new county qualifications in backstroke and butterfly, showcasing superb versatility.

Charlie Ward, Zannah Poll, David Sova, Will Vere, Seth Clayton, Eucharia Adejuwon and many others added their names to the growing list of South Lincs County Championship qualifiers.
GREAT SWIMMER PERFORMANCES
Thomas Vere emerged as one of the stars, claiming gold in the 200m backstroke (2:50.75) and silver in the 200m freestyle (2:40.55), alongside bronzes in the 100m backstroke (1:22.90) and 200m individual medley (3:12.77). He also trimmed his personal bests in the 100m backstroke and 50m fly, underlining his steady progress.
Not to be outdone, Kieran Lucy delivered a medal‑laden campaign, striking gold in the 200m individual medley (2:32.19 PB) and adding a string of podium finishes: silver in the 100m butterfly (1:07.51 PB), bronze in the 50m backstroke (0:31.04 PB), bronze in the 50m freestyle (0:26.80 PB), bronze in the 100m backstroke (1:06.61 PB), and bronze in the 100m freestyle (0:57.72). With four personal bests and six medals, Lucy’s versatility across strokes was a highlight of the meet.
Meanwhile, Livvi Laud impressed with her technical strength, achieving a personal best and county qualification in the 100m breaststroke (1:34.88) and securing a bronze medal in the 200m breaststroke (3:17.65). Her consistency across breaststroke and backstroke events marked her out as one to watch.
Jess Worth also contributed to the club’s medal tally, taking bronze in the 200m breaststroke (3:36.99) and producing strong swims in the 100m backstroke (1:26.62) and 100m individual medley (1:31.64). Her versatility across strokes added depth to the squad’s overall success.
Florence Carlson had a double-Bronze haul plus three new county qualifying time. Florence’s Snowstorm meet was a major step forward. Flo also took over 2 seconds off her 100m Backstroke to record a time of 1.22.01.
John Boor collected two Bronze medals in the 200m IM and 50m Breaststroke, thriving in a competitive field and showing strong improvement signs.
Ethan Lucy delivered a large medal haul including multiple golds, and crucially earned a new county-qualifying time in the 400m Free. His endurance events were outstanding, and his IM performance showed good balance across strokes.
The Hamilton sisters, Lexie and Lillie put in some excellent performances. They secured no less than 11 medals in all three colours!
Katie Lucy had a strong meet with controlled pacing in her freestyle events. Her 400m Free silver was one of her best races of the year, finishing in a time of 5.14.72.
